Four Storms at Sea

2019-2020 Over a year in the making, this is my first self-designed (not from a pattern) quilt — king size with batik fabrics from @quiltersstudiova (they also did a beautiful job with the long arm quilting!) My design was inspired by Wayne Kollinger’s “Quarter of Four” blocks (waynekollingersquiltblog.blogspot.com), which are derived from the traditional Storm at Sea pattern. This was a lot of fun – and I am happy to have it on my bed!

Home Awaits

Spring 2020 HomeAwaits quilt from a kit by @connectingthreads I started this quilt while working far from home, looking forward to ending the school year and coming home. Little did I know that I’d be heading home sooner than expected and that I’d be getting a lot of time at home to make up for being gone!
